Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:

The course of Laboratory Orthodontics II aims to allow students to continue the curriculum of Laboratory Orthodontics I, adding to the contents already taught, new topics related to orthodontics, giving special emphasis to fixed appliances built in the laboratory.
The student must perform the various elements that may constitute a fixed orthodontic appliance, identifying their roles in the mouth.

Syllabus:
  1. Material used in laboratory fixed orthodontics.
  2. Space maintainers devices.
  3. Retainer devices.
  4. Inhibitors of oral habits appliances.
  5. Expansion devices.
  6. Disjunction devices.
  7. Distalizers.
  8. Fixed orthodontic, orthopedic and functional appliances.
