Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:

The fast technological advances and the modifications noticed in a globalizing world, unveiled the importance of this knowledge area and also the need for its adequate usage by civil society.
Bioethics is a science that crosses different areas of knowledge such as Biology, Genetics, Philosophy, Law and Medicine itself.
This is why the preparation of the health professionals is a priority in order to respond to the solicitations of moral dimension of human behaviour in life sciences, mainly in health care.

  3. Ethics in relation to the patient.
  4. Ethics in paediatrics.
  5. Ethics and mental health.
  6. Medical ethics and attitudes in relation to the process of dying.
  7. Human reproduction.
  8. Ethical dilemmas in genetics.
  9. Medical research.
  10. Ethics and health care costs.
