Upon completion of this course, the student should be able to:

  • Demonstrate orally and in writing that acquired knowledge to plan and build an acrylic removable complete denture.
  • Autonomously build an acrylic removable complete denture and all its intermediate steps.
  • Perform rebase of an acrylic removable complete denture.

  1. Introduction to acrylic removable complete denture.
  2. Acrylic removable complete denture: Protocol and materials.
  3. Preliminary impressions casts.
  4. Custom impression trays and master casts.
  5. Occlusion rims and jaw relationship records.
  6. Artificial tooth selection.
  7. Occlusal relationship for removable partial denture.
  8. Mounting casts on a articulator.
  9. Artificial tooth arrangement.
  10. Acrylic removable complete denture: Festooning.
  11. Flasking, packing, processing, recovery and polishing.
  12. Direct and indirect refitting of a complete acrylic denture.
