Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
  • To address the intervention contexts involving health promotion and primary prevention of eating disorders.
  • To reflect on the bio-psycho-social determinants of health behaviors.
  • To develop the applicability of theoretical and practical communication skills of nutritionists when applied to their everyday practices.
  • To encourage the creation of healthy eating education projects and to stimulate the interest in researching in the field of health psychology.
  • To promote the construction of assessment, clinical and playful-pedagogical tools to be applied in the context of everyday practices.

  2. THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS OF INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION

  3. THE SETTING FOR CONSULTATION / PATIENT COUNSELING
    The context of the communication behavior.
    Assertiveness Strategies in attending patients.
    The Consultation: The muted patient.

  4. THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IN HEALTH CONTEXTS
    Communication skills of health professionals.
