Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
This CU intends to show the application of the principles of General Toxicology and of the Analytical Methodologies to the Forensic Toxicology.
- Theoretical aspects on ADME and toxicokinetics of different toxic agents, as well as about the analytical methodologies for their detection in different matrices.
- It is intended to show the student the characteristics of the different stages which are part of an toxicological investigation and that include the objective of the investigation/expertise, sampling, methodology of analyse and interpretation of results..
- It is intended that the student acquires knowledge about the importance of the implementation on Forensic Toxicology Laboratories of an Internal and External Quality Control, of a Quality Management System and the Accreditation by ISO/EN/17025.
- It is intended a characterization of toxicological investigation in several areas of application of the Forensic Toxicology, according to the approach defined in OA2.
