Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:

After attending the course, students should be able to:

• Identify the principles of application of the various models of assessment and intervention (Mulligan Concept ; Neuromuscular Bandage - Kinesiotape ; Pilates in the context of physiotherapy , manual therapy ; Method McConnell ; Assessment and treatment neurodynamic techniques);
• To know the indications and contraindications of the various methods;
• Run the evaluation according to the various models;
• Apply correctly and safely the various intervention techniques;
• Know the scientific evidence demonstrated by each model.
• Define the concept and functions of the components of the Nervous System, as well as its mechanics and pathophysiology;
• Identify by palpation, the neural structures
• Integrating neurodynamic dysfunctions into clinical reasoning
• Select neurodynamic evaluation techniques
• Describe and execute the different neurodynamic tests
• Plan and implement plans for treatment and self-treatment, depending on the evaluation
• Interpret and analyze the effectiveness of the applied technique

Syllabus:

The theoretical-practical classes will have the following content: definitions, indications, contraindications, anatomical and physiologic effects, clinical applicability and precautions for use of the following techniques:
